Scot, this child care thing should be taken care of either way, just assume we are going, that way theres no last minute panic. But, if weather not lookin good, we'll have to reschedule for next weekend. Im recommending anything 39ft and smaller should stay home.......:drink: Haha

If it rains or is crappy we could do the bar crawl at the casino instead

Okay, it looks like mother nature is stacking the deck against us! The forecast for Sat. is cloudy with a chance of showers. Sunday looks to be heavy rain. Marine forecast for BI on Sat. is calling for 5 to 8 foot seas. Sunday will no doubt be worse as the storm gets closer.

If the forecast holds true, I guess we have a couple of different options...

1) Just do a day trip for Sat and head back Sat evening. Could be a fun and exciting ride, but I fear should someone have mechanical issues, this could get real ugly... The weather sounds crappy either way and seas will only continue to get worse throughout the day.

2) Push this trip back to the following (holiday) weekend and roll the dice again. Keep in mind, there will be a lot of people there for the hoiday... As Frank mentioned to me, we would have to get there early and/or make reservations. This would also kill the plans for a trip to Montauk for that same weekend.

3) Scrap the trip all together, which I'm not in favor of doing!

i do something every weekend just about. i have like 80 hours on my boat already this season. ive spent all but 2 weekends out on the boat since memorial day!! i love it. i have my new grampy top for the long weekends, im not even afraid of rain anymore!! i love it!!!!!

im sure im going to regret putting up this pic, but it looks much better in the water, and i spend every weekend on my boat sleeping out so it is very functional for me and its only up at night. during the day it looks regular again.

Oh, no way. Even with the camper top up, it still looks more stream line than Magoo! I like it. Nice boat man.

i know, i know. its not the best looking, but i fold it down when im not using it so it looks good. and when im sleeping it makes the boat so much more user friendly, i can stand up, it keeps me dry etc etc. and in the rain driving home at 40 it held up and it kept me dry. i liked it.
i just bought my company last year so the last thing i wanted to do is spend my profits on a new boat right away because i may need them to keep the doors open, so i decided to put a big cover on and make sure i make it threw the winter before i go spending money.
