Since I'm going on vacation next week I figured I'll throw this out there one more time for any local snowmobilers. Our Ski-doo/Can-Am/Klim Open House is next Saturday October 1. It's a 1-day sale so it's a good chance to stock up on belts, oil, plugs, carbides, helmets, gear, SLEDS, etc. All BRP and Klim gear will be on sale, plus big savings in our Clearance area. Even if you don't need anything it's worth the trip to check out the new stuff, check out the free swap meet, bring your own stuff to try to sell, get some free food, and get ready for snow!

Ok shameless plug over, have fun while I'm gone! The boat's not winterized yet so maybe when i'll get back i'll rip it one more time.

I got the cylinders off but now I need to pulle the entire motor and take it down. It is a 05 Rev 1000 MXZ style sled.

Noyzee it is a 2005 MXZ 1000. The cylinder on the non PTO side scraped off a lot of alluminum. On tear down I found a lot of belt crap in the read cage so I know there is a lot down in the crank case. I want to put this thing together and sell it and get an 800 like you did. I think it will prove to be a MUCH better sled. Power to weight ratio is better and it uses a LOT less fuel and oil.

Yo Biggus since you seam to be rolling large these days how about you buy one for me! I can't keep up with you, you are the pimp of Naples! LOL

biggus, where do you sled?? im in rangeley a lot. we rent a place on mingoloop, hunters cove. my buddy has an f1000 all done up.fast!!

audiofn, dont think its an mxz 1000 maybe a mach z 1000 might be a mach z x package? all black, tunnel and all??
is it a mono jug? 1000 sdi correct?
i just sold mine, i had an 05 as well. 980 miles on it. i had it set up for racing, it was fast as hell but known for crank issues and known for the belt dust issue. so i run a little extra 2 stroke in the fuel and i run cone filters with pre filters and it helps a lot. if you need the parts redone let me know my buddy is unreal with mach z stuff. he sets them up real good. he has mine now doing a few things to the motor to get it back to stock, then my buddy is buying it.

as for the 800, i love my rev its an 05 rev with power tek in it and its great. stock its a bit of a bone but with the right mods and the right clutching mine is fast as hell. takes out 90% of the sleds i run into weather its other revs, or xp's or e techs or cats. it runs good.

the xp i just got will be left pretty stock for a trail sled and my 05 will become more of a lake racer style sled but still in the stock form for running some radar runs. it will be a modified sled but not a super mod. it wont be big bore or twin pipes, just a ported 800 with bolt ons. that way i fit the local runs rules.

He may have the MXZ 1000 Renegade they made for a year or two. It's still an RT chassis sled.

EDIT: I now see audiofn's sled is a 05. I don't think the renegade came until 06.

Either way, its a grenade with the pin pulled

Sure are a sweet pulling mill when they run but wow, I have seen so many blow up with low miles on them and the short block is worth as much as the sled is.

Have a riding buddy with a blowed up 06 right now. 1100 miles and its the second motor !!!!!!!!! Took a crank and the cases and dealer quoted him 4400 to fix it. The sled ain't worth 4400.

On a happier note, dealer just called and my 2012 800 Assault Switchback is in.
