What's the ice report on Long Lake? Think it will be clear for my August vacation? The lake here in New Jersey just cleared and the lake is almost full.I pulled the winter cover last weekend which officially starts my boating season. Worked all weekend on the boat and loved every minute of it. Motors are ready to go but I'm waiting another week or two to fire them up as the overnight temps are still a little cool. I'm hoping to get up to Long Lake for a long weekend in July if all goes well.

Still ice up here, though Kurt will know more on actual thickness than me, hopefully the water has started to come up too.. We got a good soaking last night, really put a dent in this snow pack though I still have enough at my house to ride the snowmobile around, at least a foot of snow still, more in the trees.. Highs in the mid 50's to near 60 for the foreseeable future though! Still sticking to my may 5th deadline regardless!

We've lost a lot of snow over the past few days but there's still a lot of ice on the lake. Some friends were out on Sebago on Sunday and saw a couple sled on Long Lake yesterday. I'm told there's still 20" + of ice on Long Lake. Songo river has risen about a foot in the last 2 days. Ice out May 3rd???

Bruce, that's enough! Haha, I watched the news tonight, they said it'll be mostly rain and finish up as a bit of snow but any accumulations should stay in the mountains.. It'll be colder in the 40's and low 50's late week, but I'm guessing ice out on brandy April 20th, and long lake the 24th.. Anyone want to do a 6 pack wager? Winner gets all the beer! This would only work of course if Kurt wanted to be honest and not to quench his own thirst!
