Haha no problem you can clean up when I'm done then! And I'll add 5 hours to it lol

Been doing this run for over 12 yrs........ Ive been out there in about freezing temps but that never stopped us! Beer at 9:00 AM really gets the blood flowing. By noon, its usually warm enough to be in a long sleeve t-shirt, especially if the sun comes out, its still very warm. Not to mention, the water will be warmer than the air at this point so, that makes it feel alittle warmer too. Buck up little camper!

Pat McPherson 10-16-2014 07:28 AM

We'll be launching around 9:30 from Castle Marina in Chester. Been looking forward to this event all year. Rich and crew do a great job hosting. See you all Sunday...

302Sport 10-16-2014 11:58 AM

Weather looks perfect for a brisk fall run!! Make some hot toddies, spiked hot chocolate or cider and go boating...,

Captsmitty 10-17-2014 08:31 PM

Webbsatwinni 10-19-2014 02:54 PM

Thanks to Tim who helped us at the haddam launch with the raw water issue. Let me know who you are and I'll buy you a beer.

Bleach hull??? We are red blue yellow racing stripe.

v21 10-19-2014 05:42 PM

So what part of "observe all no wake zones " don't some people understand ?

masi242 10-19-2014 06:16 PM

Webb sorry meant black hull.

V21 you are right we were loading the boat and people were flying right bye, remember those markers say no wake.

242LS 10-19-2014 06:41 PM

It wasn't me.... My stbd B1 decided it liked neutral better after about a mile or 2, so I had to pull the boat and drive 2 hours home. The good news is no wheels came flying off the trailer on the way home.

Anyone know the Silverton cruiser out there today? I think they were in the run last year. Someone onboard snapped a shot of us jumping the wake (not in the no wake zone!) - I would LOVE to get that photo. Thanks.

As Gordon stated above, there were lots of offshore boats last year (probably the most I recall seeing at this event). This run use to be almost all smaller OB boats, but there's a good cross section of all types of fast boats. There's probably enough water to beach the bigger boats, but most were anchored or rafted up and they were nice enough to bring the pizza out to us.

BTW Rich, I'll have 6 on my boat. Thanks!

Thanks for offering to let us ride with you today - I really appreciate it. My son can't believe I said "no thanks" to that offer :-)

Just showed my dad the video of the Smoke On The Water poker run:

"I don't mean to rub it in but here's what you could have had..." lol

transomstand 10-20-2014 08:05 AM

So who were the retards that blew the Middletown no wake zone in front of the cops?

302Sport 10-20-2014 08:15 AM

Dont know but we were tied up at Harbor Park and a guy in a sport fish throwing about a 4 foot wake came through at full tilt.

On another note, who was the guy in the Yellow/red Sunsation?? He ran both ways with us and has a ton of pics.

transomstand 10-20-2014 08:34 AM

These fellows didn't mention a sportfish

1MOSES1 10-20-2014 11:10 AM

honestly when we were running up...which was late. everyone was blowing the Middletown no wake zone. we tried to get people to slow down or stop but everyone blew right by.

smokin' gun 10-20-2014 11:28 AM

Wasent me .. I had a starter go bad and ran on
1 motor all the way up and back

I was determined to go !! Good thing we had plenty of beer

WildThing47 10-20-2014 11:29 AM

That was one great day, really enjoyed it!

I stopped at just about all the no wake zones....

What happened with the guy down river who appears to have lost his trailer on the ramp? Hitch snapped?

Felt bad for him...as it was pretty brisk coming back...

Thank you for trying, we truly appreciate your effort, if everyone in attendance shared your attitude this conversation would not be needed.

I'm only unhappy with the flagrant violators, sorry to hear you had trouble but happy you were able to salvage something of a good day.

Not 100% sure there, lots of folks at the ramp wanted to help, but I'm told he preferred to do it on his own. Some think he dropped off the ramp and may have had an axle get wedged between the concrete strips.

Sick Stinger 10-20-2014 12:37 PM

I was running full wot all day.... 46 feet takes to long to walk so I ran it

302sport, the turbine Nor-tech was incredible. We watched you start up and leave from the gathering and its was impressive.

No wakes don't apply from Oct 15 to April 15
Just like red traffic lights are just the same as a yield sign from 3 am to 5 am

I wouldn't worry about it, we need to introduce that new valet parking next year with optional overnight accommodations, courtesy of the irate lady in the green uniform:D

No problem at all... we've all had breakdowns and I know it's even worse when you travel out of state and don't even get off the ramp! Hopefully the problem isn't too expensive.

IDK, but I heard someone stating elsewhere that it was an offshore with an American flag down the side. Obviously my boat matches that description and I know of only one other in attendance with a flag down the side...I can tell you it was most certainly NOT me that blew through the Middletown/Harbor Park no wake zone. I idled through on both the north and south bound trip, I'm sure my passengers and any surrounding boats will confirm that. With that said, my wake is no doubt larger idling than it is at speed, but regardless I complied as I always do through that NWZ.

Nope......dead serious. Give it a shot. If the l.e.o. gives you a hard time tell him to **** off, you read it on the Internet so it's a fact.
