I've read the information post a few times now! Can someone explain the order of events to me? Are we meeting for pizza and then going up the river? Bunch of guys are asking me and after reading the post I don't know the answer! Lol

Order of events is different for everyone but the typical day is:

1. launch from wherever in the morning
2. make your way to pizza beach for noon
3. Find a large group of boats to raft off
4. Hang out and talk boats

Depending on where your launching some boats like to wait for the large group to head north. Typically there is a huge group in haddam for 10-10:30. Some people will hit the canoe club for drink before grabbing pizza.

X2. And are all the 5mph zones marked or do we have to know where they are by marker numbers?

They are all marked. Just be on the look out for white cans. Use common sense too...if there is a marina chances are it's a no wake zone. Same goes for a bridge.

For the NY boats that are running up river from Old Saybrook, you usually arrive at pizza beach between 11am and noon...then pizza is served at noonish. After that, there is usually a group of boats that take a run to Hartford if anyone wants to go for an afternoon ride. They usually start gathering once lunch is over.
All no wake zones are marked with white "no wake" buoys.

Ok thanks for the info.

Long Island guys meeting at 7:30 at the mount Sinai ramp. Are you guys on board with meeting the guys at Haddam around 10-10:30? It's my first time and I'm unfamiliar with the area so I'll go with whatever you guys want to do
