Default 2019 Hudson River Fall Fun Run

2019 Hudson River Fall Fun RunI am going to lunch in Kingston with my friend Chris if anyone would like to join us.

Date: September 28th 2019

Departs from : Stony Point Bay Marina
36 Hudson Drive
Stony Point,N.Y. 10980

Destination : Old Savannah Restaurant
100 Rondout Drive
Kingston, N.Y.

Run Length : apx 62 miles each way

We will be leaving out of Stony Point Marina heading north up the beautiful Hudson River to Kingstons Rondout Creek. Along the way we will stop and regroup at the halfway point, the Newburgh Bridge. When we arrive at Old Savannah, David and his crew will have 2 bars open for cocktails, one inside and one outside. There will be a buffet BBQ lunch set up for us. Old Savannah never disappoints. When we leave the restaurant, we will group together in the river, and all head back south together. The ride back is a straight ride back to stony point.

Please remember this is a FUN RUN. To make this easier on Chris and I, so that we also can enjoy this FUN RUN, please help Chris and I by pre paying. Let us know your boat, and how many will be in your crew. This year the marina is going to help us out by collecting ramp fees themselves.

There is NO entrance fee for the event, once again its a fun run.
pre paid money: $30.00 per person for lunch
: $ 5.00 Per boat donation to the maritime museum for letting us use their docks
pay at the ramp: $ 20.00 ramp fee

or his paypal act [email protected]

Finally some of my easy requests.
Please have boat, crew count and money done as soon as possible. On the day of the run please check in with us when you get to the marina and get your wrist bands. All help around the docks and ramp area is very much appreciated and also makes things move along faster. Last year we had 68 boats, we have to get everyone in the water and out of the marina around 10:30-11:00. Please don't everyone show up at 10:00.
These are not big requests, but they will help Chris and I enjoy the day being with friends that much easier.

MOST IMPORTANT THING
PLEASE,PLEASE,PLEASE be careful. I say it all the time , THIS IS NOT A RACE. We all like to go fast, but we don't need anyone getting hurt. So give other boaters some space.

This run is open to all boaters. Anyone can attend.

Looking forward to seeing everyone again
Jonathan and Chris

I thought there was an issue with the marina? What is the status of the marina?

We are using the Stony Point marina just as we have in years past. Just like last year they do not have all their docks so we will have to get boats in the water and out floating as we finish getting all boats in. We went thru this last year and we had no problems. as long as everyone is patient and we work together things will be just fine.

We have 3 weeks till the fun run. If you’re planning on joining us I need boat info, name info, crew numbers, and payment please so Jonathan and I can let the folks at Savannah restaurant know how many we will have for lunch.
