the Monterey 305 is the former 288 then 298 I/O. Same hull with outboards hung on it. It's actually a 29' boat. Very nice boats. Nice quality and materials. I came very close to pulling the trigger on the 288SS a few years ago with a single 8.2 HO but decided to hold off. IMO Formula boats are extremely overpriced by a ton! I bought a 26' Chaparral over the 26' Formula because it had way more options for like $50K+ less!! The Monterey 305 would be more comparable to the Formula 290 BR

Chaparral OSX 300 OB would be my choice. Better than Monterey, cheaper then the Formula.
They also make the 280 OSX. Seen them at the boat show this year, very cool boats.

The Chaparral looks nice, but looks more of a fishing boat style than I'm looking for. Similar setup though. Thanks. I Am liking some of the rear seat power features though... very slick.

Well, my stocks are down enough to pay for said Cyber truck, so I guess the boat's going to wait a while
