Seneca and Cayuga are boring boaters lakes, not much to see from the water. One worthy day trip is jump into the canal and go visit Seneca Falls for lunch and continue on into Cayuga Lake. Lake George by far is a better trip of the two choices but I’d suggest scraping both those itineraries and visit the 1000 Islands and stay anywhere from Clayton to Alexandria Bay. You can live up here a lifetime and see something different everyday. There’s zero noise enforcement up here, also some of the largest and well known poker runs in the world occur up here. Good luck on trip.

We have gone to 1000 Island the past four summers. It is an awesome place to go boating! We're looking go somewhere different.

Don't bother with a performance boat in Winnipesaukee as there is a max daytime speed of 45mph, lots of marine patrol and noise checks.
