Re: Dyno Day
Thanks guys. I will probably be coming back up to Dave's shop pretty soon anyway. I want to see the PINK engines run on the dyno, and that should be pretty soon. As soon as Debbie (I mean Mark) OK's the color. :D
My brother took alot of digital pics, and video's of alot of the running time and all the pulls, but he has all the pics in his camera. So, he'll have to post the pics for me. Plus, I don't know how to make those video clips and post them on here. So, I just have to be patient and wait for him to get em all done, but it will be later this week. He's working on all of them now a little at a time. I think that last pull netted a torque of around 897 ft.lbs. at 4900 rpm. I'll have to get the sheets out of the truck and let by bro take a pic of em and post em. Gee, my poor speedys are gonna be takin an azz whippin this summer. |

Re: Dyno Day
Frank, Let me put those in my Cig I want to see if I can get it to do 70. :D
Nice numbers hope it all stays together this year. Mark :drink: |
Re: Dyno Day
Mark, don't kid youself you are going to need more HP than that to see the top side of 70 MPH......see you on Sat......BZ

Re: Dyno Day
Mark, 650 a side will give you 70+. I may have a pair of blowers you can borrow but you would need to find carbs as I will be using those on my engines. You should be able to make 700 to 750 with my blowers, giving you mid-to-upper 70's.

Re: Dyno Day
Mark, I can get you 2 pr. of Holley 750 dbl pumpers. Those should work good on your 540's. If the engines are 9.800 deck, I have a pr of blower intakes too. Also have the spacers for the 10.200 blocks. :D
Dave, the solid rollerlifters we talked about, I forgot, I used them in a pr of spare 588 N/A's. SORRY :( I'll ask around, I know alot of guys with a ton of spare cams & roller lifters, but I would highly suggest new ones. Thry're not that much anymore. Just checked on some pricing. Crane spring loaded locking bar roller lifters, good for up to 720 lift @ $195 per set. Crane verticle bar lifters $235. per set. |
