Re: Dyno Day

We were running the engines on a very conservative fuel/air mixture, upper 5's to 600. Probably could of knocked a few #'s out of the jets to lean it up some, bring the #'s to .500 or a touch less, and made another 50-60 hp, but I'm not out for the ultimate hp, we just want a reliable pr. of engines that'll run without worrying if they're too lean when the weather changes. My goal was to end up with engines that I can run all summer, and NOT have to do very much maintenance other than oil changes and refuel. :D

Dave Wesseldyk was GREAT to work with !!! He put ALL the finishing touches on both engines, and they ran flawless. I listened to everything Dave had to say, and at the end of the day, everything came out as he and I expected. Very, very pleased with Dave's work. After being at quite a few shops with dynos, I can honestly say that Dave has the very best setup that I've ever seen. After the last 2 saturdays at Daves shop on the dyno, I could'nt even imagine taking a engine back anywhere else for dyno pulls. It's not so much the shop that the dyno is at, it's the person behind the window with all the knowledge to operate it correctly, and even before the pull, go over EVERYTHING to ensure that when it's time for action, there's NO surprizes.

It was a little trip to get to Wesco, but well, well worth the time and money for my results.

Thats great! You deserve a summer of trouble free boating. Looking forward to seeing you and the rest of the CPC members on the lake this summer. Hopefully it won't be much longer! :drink:

Frank, Thumbs up!---I'm glad all worked out well for you on the dyno. It looks to be the start of a good boating season for you just as well. Perhaps we'll run into you out on the water somewhere between here and Chicago.

Frank, Dave will teach you everything you know,,,,,,,just not everything he knows. All kidding aside, I've never met someone that's as knowledgeable as him that's as willing to share that knowledge with people.
Have you thought about those lifters? Call me if you've got a number in mind. Thanks.
