Ya it would be a good time if things were brought back to the chain. seems like its all geared toward Lake Michigan now ( that would be the big pond) as all the high rollers call it. Hey pwrquest aint you got a picture of a big boat you can use as your avatar

Alright !! June 2nd is my 50th !!! Sounds good to me !!!

Agree on more Chain based events. Sure the Big Pond is nice, but it can also kick your a$$ and usually the ladies don't enjoy it (read: taking a beating) and they make it hard on us guys.....

We really think the chain is far too busy in the summer to have 65 boats for a Poker Run. Would create a lot of problems. The biggest being safety.

Really???

I respectfully disagree,,,
In the old days we allways did the runs on the chain,,we never really did much out on Lake Michigan until a couple of years ago and I cant recall any time we had any issues,,,are their guys out that think its a race and not a fun run?? sure,,but you will have that anywhere you go...

Just saying

And we are thinking that the river shiver is not a safety issue? That to me is a bigger problem then any run that might be put together in the summer on the chain. Furthermore 90% of club members boat on the chain and are aware of the chain being busy on a summer weekend. I really think that more runs should be considered on the chain. Also we would not have to wait until the day before to make sure the conditions are right to make sure all club attendees could make the run ... because let's face not all of us have the boats capable of handling the conditions of The Big Pond!
