I am assuming that you have no control of trim. I would forget about the "bunny hop" for now and try different props first. Contact a outboard prop distributor that inventories different pitch props. Go to the prop section of the board and E-mail them to find out if they carry and will let you try one of their props.

juice, I had a 1990 25 ft oe with 2.4s, never was able to get over 92-93 with it. tried all kinds of props with it, 14 1/2 x 30 were the all around best props for the boat. witlh larger props it really liked to hop. I always thought the tunel on that boat was took big thus not giving it enough lift. good luck

I had aa 25 and raced in in Stock boat - started with 200's then 2.4 then 2.5 this has been years ago but I don't remember ever going over 95 - ran 4 blade for stern lift 28's & 30's - I fool around with gear ratios - I tried a tunnel tab - lots of work and still hopped - smooth water and you have a bunny - a little chop and it was fun - The boat was called "ballistic" worked well fro a couple of years - I still have a set of 3 blade 28's and 30's if you need spare props priced right
