Default Rigging information 25 OE

I have tried to get some information on my 1999 25 OE. The transom is all new with NO holes drilled for mounts. Does anyone have the knowledge on where to drill the holes?

All I need to know is:
Where to measure from to get center line for each mount and how high should the propshaft be above or below the transom? It is a 2 step hull.
20" merc 250 hp with sport masters and Bob's jack plates if I need them?

Thank you very much for your time, Scott

Hi Bob,

I tried to PM him and his "box" was full. I emailed Ross last week but no answer yet. I also called Sparky @ Vicious Marine and left a voicemail. I figured between all of these people I should be able to get accurate info. I only want to drill ONCE!!! lol

Thank you for the help. Sparky from Vicious called me and gave me all the information I need. He did say something to me that I thought about after I hung up. Is the 1999, 2 step model longer than 25 feet? I thought I heard him say 28"?????

Thumbs up

That's great Scott, Phil knows these boats and their rigging. There is a thread from long ago about my tunnel tab build . It really flattened the boat out, take a look for it.

There isn't a lot of info on the O/E's but they are bigger than they measure as far as OAL 'over all length' There was a time when the boats were measured at the water line, as that was all you needed for registration was what you displaced in the water. Best of luck. Snow's finally melting so I can take a look at mine and get ready for the season. Bill

hi Bill,

would you any pictures of the inside transom area? The previous owner removed some bulkhead? knees, or other supports before the transom was replaced.
they never were put back in. Also it would show me where the batteries go and some other rigging, TKS!!!
