I can honestly say we have ALWAYS tested with helmets, vest and belts in our boat but when I looked at the water being so calm I thought what could happen. BAD dission on my part. It showed lack of respect for the water and boat. I also feel horrable that I let Eric also not wear his full gear. I have more expreiance then him and im sure he saw me not wearing anything and thought it would also be OK. Its a terrable way to learn a lesson. I am praying that by posting this that NO ONE tests with out ALL THERE EQ. If I have to be the example and get ridiculed for it so be it.
As to why we rolled thats another post on there I was!

It was worth posting it.

I wont test without it.

Hope you guys are doing better. Glad you boat is ok.

Randy,Eric, glad you guys and the boat are alright. Randy, can't believe you weren't wearing your safety gear. Or were you guys out of control in some Hudson County go-go bar? Looks like you got whacked with a baseball bat. I just rolled into Daytona Beach I'm working my home. Talk to you over the weekend. Big Ed

Someone was watching over you two.

No safety boats in the area, no helmets, not seatbelts, no brains, and the boat lands right side up. You lucky bastards. Did you even have SCUBA on board?

For all non racers, I hope you at least wear your lanyards whenever you take a ride.

I'm just glad your both OK.

Randy,
Glad to here you will both be OK! I addmired that you posted the truth-I'm sure others will learn from your "experience".
Did you pick up a new sponsor? The "Wendy's Biggie cup" matches the boat perfectly!

Randy and Eric,
I too am glad you're both ok. Randy and Eric, tisk tisk tisk... This is me shaking my finger at you both... You and "WE" all know better than to test without the proper safety equipment, now I will save the rest of the stern talking to, until Biloxi. I'm glad you both SURVIVED!!!

Just stopped by MD shop and WHM 2 is ok.We could not find any damage to the hull and drive.Jay and I were in shock when this accident happened and I will also admit that I never wear my safety equipment when testing.I thank god that Randy and Eric are doing fine and have learned a life saving lesson at their expense.I want to thank everybody that helped,in particular Bruce, you are a great friend.I will tell you this MD will be racing in Beloxi, and that is a sigh of a champion.Thank you Randy for your honesty,I owe u my friend.

Wil

PS.Eric's boots are lethal objects inside the cockpit.
