Randy, I too am glad you guys made out okay and that you did the right thing and fessed up. Hopefully new and old racers can take a warning from this incident and sometime, somewhere, someone will survive because of the price you paid this weekend. You dne bad, but you made up for it. heal well my friend.

Not even a seat belt on Randy???
You surprised me.....
Here is a little saying I want you to put on your dashboard next to a picture of your family:
"A belt and vest for the FAMILY, a helmet for the show. Give me a bottle of air and I am ready to go!!!"
I am glad you both came away from this and sorry you had to learn the hard way.
That has got to be the worst thing you can do, getting in a canopy without being belted in.
Now you know what it would feel like being in a washing machine on the heavy duty cycle...
Please have another look at the outdrive on the boat and everything on the transom. Check the engine mounts and stringers too. Just take another look. The side load to the drive must have been extremely hard. May want to consider having it magnu-fluxed to check for any cracks you cannot see.
Good luck on your recovery.
BTW It looks like that may need a stitch or two...

Randy all joking aside....Glad to see you and Eric are OK....
On a lighter note.....I told you not to call TUNDRA by his name or he would bite you in the face.....and to top it off TUNDRA called me and said something about you lifting his tale up in the air and you being behind him right before the bite accured.....Things that make you go HHHMMMMM....
Get well soon!!!!

Randy,
I think you made the statement once that you would only be thrown out of a boat once. Well I guess it's a good thing you had the canopy.
Best wishes for a speedy recovery to both you and Eric.
If you think about it, you probably saved some lives.
