So now we have begged and borrowed the $150,000 and promised charities a nice donation guess what? You have to put on the show. You pray for good weather, you pray that at least 25 boats show up and you pray that the fans and your community enjoyed the show so you don't have to move.Is it worth all that? For me it is.I have developed some tremendous friendships with the volunteers who help put the race on and our community loves it.I value the friendships I've made with racers and fans in all three organizations and hate the bitterness that some people publicly share.I joined OSS because I wanted to race supercat and it was where to go race with the best competition not because I didn't like SBI or APBA .I miss you guys and wish you all well and I am very proud to be part of OSS.They are very professional and dedicated and contrary to some peoples beliefs we are financially stable, we,the racers own OSS and are dedicated to the sport.Fans from Orange Beach who went to the Biloxi race have come to me raving about the boats and for the first time knowing who is racing who. They love the excitement of the pace lap and having the course set up the day before. At the Orange Beach race we will qualify on Saturday for starting positions. After all is said and done there is a place for OSS just ask our fans. Be Safe, Gary
Very nice post, glad to see it is for the fans.

Then what really is your point, you continuely slam OSS, yet thier numbers are consistant, and they have a great product, is it that you really dont enjoy offshore racing?? We can all agree it is very politcal, it always will be, all forms of motorsports are we just arent as privy to the info.
OSS was created for the racers by the racers, and they have shown they can put on a race, and while they dont cater to all classes, its not like those racers dont have a place to race. If they were being locked out all together it would be a different story. So once again you are either for offshore racing or against it, You voice your opinion in support of SBI/APBA/UIM/WPR, thats great. but dont put down OSS they have a good program and thier fans enjoy thier brand of offshore racing.

Listen up. We have had some talks with the guys up here. The slaming OSS and SBI has to stop. I have spoken personally with some of top ranking Slammers and they have agreed to stop. As for the rest, We are asking you nicely to back off. You are causing damage in ways you could not even imagine. Right down to myself loosing a very good potential sponsor. Many of us enjoy OSO. Many of us abuse OSO. So I am asking Nicely. If you wish to continue we have made a list of the slammers and we will petition OSO to have you removed from the forum. We have asked over and over. This is it. No I dont think who I am or that I am better than anyone else. But I seem to have more common sense than most. I love this sport and have invested a lot of time in trying to help it grow, So be part of the solution not the problem Thankyou Smitty Any Questions 732 920 3945

Your're right on Smitty----Hauling Trash I know you hate OSS but you do have a couple Sterling supercat motors for sale-are the engines rebuilt by Sterling or Joey Griffith? If they are Sterlings please call my throttleman Billy Moore at 252-229-9151 and I'll wager on the three years. Gary
