OSS Welcomes New Board Members
#1
Due to changes in their personal circumstances, Jim Richardson and Gerry Chastelet are no longer able to serve on the OSS Board of Directors. As per the OSS bylaws, the OSS Board appointed two Interim Board Members, who will serve until the end of this racing season.
Along with other Board Members, whose two year terms will end this season, the Interim Board Member positions will be up for election by the end of this racing season.
Bob Teague will serve as the new Director At Large, and David Peterson will serve as the new OSSV Class Director.
Bob Teague had been a founding Board Member of OSS, and serves as Technical Chairman. The founder of Teague Custom Marine set numerous world and national speed records. He is also the Technical Editor and Chief Boat Test Driver of Powerboat Magazine.
David Peterson, a home builder from Sarasota County, has run Black Pearl (formerly UTZ / Castaway) for the past few seasons. He won St. Clair during the first season with OSS. David is a big time Tampa Bay Buccaneers football fan, an affliction he shares with his good friend Dave Branch from MUSCLE racing.
