last year steve page was onto something. he was trying to implement a motor program that would allow the supercats and cat lites to race together. i dont know what happened to that but it was the right direction. now it is headed completely in the wrong direction. the bottom line is LESS CLASSES, MORE BOATS PER CLASS = MORE COMPETITION, BETTER FOR T.V., SPECTATORS, SPONSORS, MONEY, MORE BOATS WILL GET BUILT FOR A VIABLE CLASS, ETC............ITS ALL GOOD! if we dont make a long term plan to evolve in this direction, nothing will change............

Before I left offshore and went Unlimited Light hydroplane race, I always thought that what would work best was a class competition director. Someone who had the authority and knowledge to slow down the fast boats and help the slow get up to speed. It needs to be about multiple boats racing for the checkered flag on the last lap. That alone will bring the fans. Fans=TV=sponsors=more money...its that simple.

gregg where do you live ?

There is no way the small boats can race with the big boats, In small water the small ones will win. In big water well you get it.

3 cat classes thats it, forget about turbine class and extreme class. SS, SCL and Supercat.

If you want to race this is it. Allweiss had the right idea, he just lost the vision.

Forgive me for not understanding what you are refencing here, sounds like you are taking issue with one of my posts but I have no idea which one so I can't tie it in for purposes of an appropriate response, could you help me please?.

In answer to your question, I live in Arizona, why is that important in this context when I have raced for years in Florida, and California?.

This was a great thread and I didn't want to see it die so quickly. I remember seeing
a post that has since been deleted that said that unification is only wanted by the fans and
not the racers. He said that the racers were happy with the different organizations that
they are currently racing in and it should continue as it is. Are there other racers with
these same feelings to leave things as they are with minor tweaking?
