Default Greer's Ferry scoop for a spectator

Never been to a race before unless you count the LOTO shootout- want to head over to the race coming to our backyard- what's a newb to do?

Do I watch from shore? Bring my Daytona and hang in that?

How do I make sure I'm out of the way and not "that guy" too close to the action?

Before parties?

After parties?

Should I bring my Toter and stay in that?

Thanks

we have never raced there before cat so hard to say but you should check the OSS home page go to 2007 schedule click on greers ferry will take you to the race web page and the schedule of events , we rented a condo for the weekend , they always set up spectator areas so the boat would be good , but some site offer good veiwing from shore , not to worry there will be a party somewhere ( in the pits if nowhere else)
stop by the wild ride pit and say hello

SO, I'm a little confused about what the 10 admission gets you vs the $250 VIP admission- might be years berfore I get to go to another boat race- don't want to miss out- what do I get for the extra clams?

Oh yea- it's 25 out right now- better hope it's better in 2 weeks

At the risk of someone thinking I'm coming out of retirement, I would say that you might want to consider working as one of the patrol boats. You can't get any closer to the action!

There is usually a volunteer form on the website or contact number.
