any chance the new Mercury 350sc will be adaptable as a viable race motor for class racing? any early scuttle? Mid case? Sportmaster adaptable?

Hey Harry.....We still haven't heard alot from mercury on a replacement for the 280. They have re upped there commitment with the OB class with the contingency program even a rebate program for buying powerheads. There are a couple "prototype" sportmaster gearcases for this motor out there but I haven't heard anything about a suitable mid section. So for now we are still runnning the 280 in the forseable future.
