APBA weight ?
Why don't they weigh the boats with the crew in it? If we are trying to be fair on all angles this is not right. 2 big men could add 500 lbs (Flashwave) where 2 well toned well conditioned athletes (Typhoon) 350lbs? would have a unfair advantage the way I see it. Am I wrong on this? Put a bathroom scale on the dock if you don't want to lift the boat with people on it.

Hush, Randy, you are giving away secrets . . .
Anyway, in our politically correct world, weighing the boats with the crew in it would be construed as discrimination against the circumferentially challenged ....

F1 uses an all up weight including the driver. When all is said and done though, I don't see it making a big difference for us. We usually start the race lighter than most and end the race 20-30 lbs over. Not too many teams do that. Plus, if I lost any weight, I'd have to get a new boat!
