APBA weight ?
Why don't they weigh the boats with the crew in it? If we are trying to be fair on all angles this is not right. 2 big men could add 500 lbs (Flashwave) where 2 well toned well conditioned athletes (Typhoon) 350lbs? would have a unfair advantage the way I see it. Am I wrong on this? Put a bathroom scale on the dock if you don't want to lift the boat with people on it.

Hush, Randy, you are giving away secrets . . .
Anyway, in our politically correct world, weighing the boats with the crew in it would be construed as discrimination against the circumferentially challenged .... |
"two toned and well conditioned athletes", who might that be?
|

Not to mention the two cases of beer under the seat.

Candy,
You see , these crooked Warlocks always have too much lift on the port side. You need that extra weight to balance them out. J |
Jim only busting, haven't heard from you in a while. What do you think about the weight idea?
Candy:p |
F1 uses an all up weight including the driver. When all is said and done though, I don't see it making a big difference for us. We usually start the race lighter than most and end the race 20-30 lbs over. Not too many teams do that. Plus, if I lost any weight, I'd have to get a new boat! :)
