Ok So I am a little slow here. Can somebody explain the total cost of entrance fees for one race? Is it $500 or $950 total. Just my opinion, but I could care less about prize money.

I don't see the advantage of hooking up with APBA or SBI. It seems any race on the mideast coast attracts the same boats no matter who sanctions the race. Most boats come from NJ. Why pay more money for a title [apba sbi ] ?

So Let me see if I got this right. If I run one race it will cost $1150 for the pleasure of racing? Plus fuel ,motel and anything I tear up. It must be me, but that sound a little excessive. I do realize the cost go down the second race but still...... I guess you have to pay to play. Maybe more poker runs instead.

Offshore racing has never been cheap. At least $250 of it is going back in to fund the purse.

If you've never raced before, there no comparison to a poker run. Especially an ocean race. Just do it.

Smitty, I just gave my cousin Mat all of Keiths contact info.
He is interested in driving for him. If this comes through
Jersey shore Yachts may sponsor it.
