Re: P Class is gone
I think Xtreme Offshore sounds cool, it fits in with the current trend of most wild sports. Smitty we would be 206? If it is that would be great cause it's also my target weight for Destin. It will be refreshing for us not to have pee on our boat. Thanx for everything in Cambridge.

The classes will be identified by..
100
200
300
400
500
600
Example Typhoon P4-29 will now be 429
We are now Xtreme Offshore sanctioned by OPA
This is in effect as of today. I know most of you have been anxious to remove those P's, so letter rip. We are working on the new X logo we will have them for the worlds. Smitty

Back then I had little support to make an impact on the change at the "Big Meeting".
But as the saying goes..... "Good things come to those who wait!"
I had a feeling sooner or later OPA would make this change.
I think the set back at that time was because OPA didn't want to see the racers having to make changes racing between organisations, which is totally exceptable.
Apparently there hasn't been much crossing over this season that I am aware of between SBI & OPA.
OSS is already in a number only system.
So my hat is off to OPA!
It truely shows they do listen and entertain all ideas.
Whether you are racing or not.....
THANK YOU OPA!
You have done a huge justice to the new fans trying to understand the classes and see who is racing who!
Best of luck to all in Destin!

Guy's after Ocean City Smitty said to me it's TIME! Anyone who raced that day belongs in a EXTREME Catagory, are professional racers as you DO get paid to race and you all have some pair of ball$. The "X" will be designed and fitting to The Jersey Boyz/OPA Image. Smitty, you the man!
