Default Is the OPA , A National or Regional Circuit

In this month PowerBoat mag, They called the OPA a regional racing circuit and OSS a National circuit .

I like to know WHY ,The OPA races in more states then OSS and SBI , The OPA has more Raceboats.

So what is the OPA ?????????? Regional or National

We're National Mike. Must be a MISPRINT! or misquote. I haven't gotten my new issue. Whom was quoted as saying we are a regional and who wrote the article?

It was said by Ron, That racers are staying in Regional tours and not stepping up to National tours like the OSS.

The best part that i like is when he calls not canopy boats FEEDER CLASSES.

Funny thing is there are more canopy boats in OPA. Personally I like my feeder class boat better.

as an example NASCAR was not the only "race organization" back in the day. Dayton was not the "Big Race" back in the day.. there were a few organizations but the one the racers liked racing with, the one that treated the racers fair, the one that did not try and get rich off the teams survived (but make no mistake they are getting rich now).

Racers will decide witch org will survive and racers will decide what organization is worth racing with.

PowerBoat Magazine , It was the Editors Report By the Editor Gregg Mansfield ([email protected]) It was not written by Ron Polli.

Well, God Bless all our Feeder Class Regional Crews. I think it's a misquote that racers are staying in the "Regional Tours" and NOT stepping up to the National Tours like OSS, all OPA's Racers know that they are encouraged to race anywhere they choose and I think the key words are "Where They Choose", and they choose OPA, The National Offshore Racing Organization. But, you can call us ANYTHING you choose!
