p-f-e can do either class 5 or 6 at harrison and or st clair. and we are finally ready to go the red rocket is back.

I believe Smitty was looking at St Clair to combined the classes but I will find out for sure..

That may be true, but the reality is both boats had equal power in the F1 days....

There is no way our 496 is going to be able to accelerate out of the turns like the front running
class 5 boats. We (611) could change props and run a couple MPH faster, but we can't run 75.

I understand the idea from a give the fans a show point of view, but I don't think any class 6 boat can run with the class 5 guys.

What about everyone runs together but behind the scenes the 6 boats get their own points? A race within a race.

Smitty was talking about all class 6 guys get 50 points for the race....so points would not be a factor...

Also on the 24 Warlock....I was not away of the power differance in it..
I just knew the boat ran 84 with the carb 500 in it...so I thought 75 would be attenable in Class 5..on the acceration part...we found out in F1...the acceleration was not that big of a deal in the clam, very few temas lifted at all even in the turns then....but I understand if your not going to hit 75...well yes...that is no fun....and we should just keep the classes seperated

You obviously haven't seen my bilge in awhile...out with the old, in with the new! Then again 5hrs run time isn't exactly old

All I know is in 2007 when we ran against Papa Dukes and the Crockett Rocket (When they had the big motors) as soon as the green dropped, they took off like cruise missiles. Same in the corners. They had them set up to accelerate. I'm only speaking on my behalf, we couldn't run with them.
