So is smitty really gonna put up $5000.00 or is that just hype

I dont think he would have said it if he was not serious. My question is how is the $$$ going to be used? In addition to the purse? Tow $$$ for the teams who race? Personally i like the idea of tow $$ to be used for all teams in class if there is already cash for the purse. Any ideas?

I talked to Smitty on Monday and he was working on the extra 5k...he was waiting on the answer of his proposal to them...

In addition to the $200 cash I will pay to all the teams that finish 4th place down in Harrison I am also working on finding a small sponsor in St Clair to put up a little money for our class and if I can get someone...we can just split it evenly between all of us to help a little....its a small town to try to get money from....but I'lll see what I can do....

I think thats a great idea....on these races that are farther then the norm...I think splitting some money accross the board to help out on gas money is a good thing...I would hate to loss a team to a race site because of $200 - $300 for gas...

I know Warren also mention this...
Even if all the guys agree to set a little prise money aside to help everyone with gas money...
But that would be up to everyone in the class...
I say we do what ever to get as many boats to MI....
