since you asked, US Offshore did the same thing but you couldn't benefit from not attending a race. I think if your going to drop your lowest score you should only be able to drop a score from a race you attended, meaning if you break or break out you may still have a chance at the points championship, dropping a race that you do not attend promotes not attending a race wether its during the season or at the end.
