2011 OPA SVL Rulebook
#21
Actually the wings do not offer any aerodynamic lift. We've asked before around SVL circles and i do understand how its a bit of a gray area with that hull. I dont believe it would be any faster then traditional SVL's but the do handle well. Its really a fun boat and it would be nice to get one into a spec class.

Dean and Dave, The more I think about it why wouldnt we want the bat boats in? Parity rules,it works. Now do you know of any takers if Smitty says yes that we can count on? 92MPH is 92 in my book. We will all be running GPS systems so whats the differance. Multipal steps carry weight so wings will as well unless they test with Smitty and you are with in our speed range.

Randy thanks I'm sure it could be worked out. Speed wise i would think thats right about where they would fall or at the very least tuned to that number. I raced a 28 in Havasu with a cabin and a 600hp inovation and it ran mid 80's but that was with a DPX Douprop drive, Bravos would faster. What is the min weight?
