Yeah..me and the rest of C5 with very few exceptions would have to move up lol. We just kept up with the trend when we put the 650 in the Krypto. I get your point though...and I agree with half of it. We need a set of rules...real rules...that are written down and that are enforced! Dont mess with C5 now...just amend the rules so that the current competition level in the class is kept.

I wont have to move up! trent when are you coming out to play again, with the small boat?

Mikey/Johnny.... When other things fall into place, I might try to find a crew to run her for us, but I think my time in her is over. It sucks getting old...... lol

Did someone say "SANDBAGGING" ? Tell me it's not true that anyone would be doing that. Ok, you have a 30' boat with @600hp and it can only do 75mph?:eekdrop: Sounds like a problem with the boat or is it just driver error.

Now how can a twin engine boat with stock? power not do over 75mph? And is it "stock"? Look V vrs Cat is the age old fight and both will win in certin waters. I don't care how much power you throw at it, it will do what the driver/boat will allow. If it's 75 mph or 100 mph. The other issue is how fast can you turn without going swimming? So I feel the speed cap is the best way to keep it equal. In rough water the V's will be the strong ones, in smooth water the cats will be.

It's all in the driving and setup boy's.

Sounds good, are you going to be in OC for the race to watch from the beach?

I would love to but with it being Mothers Day, I think the best place for me is at my folks house.

I know for a fact with the right driver your boat will out accelerate and out turn all of us. I have A LOT of seat time in a 28 profile. First it had an old Merc 600, itd run low 90s. Now it has a 900 and runs 125. And As i Previously stated;1. Youve already been established as a Class 4 boat for 3+ years. I havent won a race yet. Does that mean I get to move to class 6? No, it means I need to learn how to get better. 2. Your boat isnt the biggest issue, the precedent it sets (because of our lack of rules) is the issue.

I dont think your boat is on the "Grandfathered In" list but to be honest Im not sure. Smitty would know. If it is grandfathered in sure. If it isnt, no.
