I spoke to soon on Ricks OC Carnage thread...
Long story short, the boat had been repaired from a previous injury(we were aware of this). The injury got the core wet. The repair man replaced the damaged core, but didnt replace the wet core. SOMEHOW this boat survived OC with a half wet have rotted core. Its all still intact but the whole starboard side of the boat has a wet balsa core, most of it rotted away to mud.
I know its hard to see but about half way down the circle in picture one the water starts.
Picture two is our mud balsa.
Picture 3 is where the new balsa meets the old balsa.
Have fun this season boys....hopefully Ill see ya in Florida. Cutting the floor and pulling the tank tomorrow.

Bring the boat up... I'm now an expert at grinding so we should have no problem getting you ready for round 3.

The fiberglass guy who repaired it (for Randy I think, not sure) will remain nameless. But if it wasnt for that repair id be racing in Mi this weekend. ALWAYS replace the wet core.....rotted or not!
