No step boat will turn like a Challenger derived boat either...you may be suprised what the States have to offer ;) Even if it is from the 70s. Randy, yes they will stay together. Might only be running 40 if its big but they are built to take it |

So are there actual rules specs finalized for 7?? who has them???
|
I think Mark Henderson has been working on them

Its a hefty cost...but I do feel wingplate steering should be required. Nobody should be racing with a doomsday bolt.
|
can somebody pm me what there is or whats being considered to date??

20-23 feet
60mph 250hp max (boats with 200 and up will be competitive, weight is a huge factor) I really think thats about it, its a simple class. Mark Henderson is the guy to talk too, but I dont think theres much to add. Id like to see Wingplate steering added as a safety measure...but im not in the boat...and its a hefty cost |
Thanks for all your interest! Class 7 has some steam behind it.
The preliminary guidelines and rules have been forged. For those that are interested please feel free to contact, and get the info right from a class 7 representative! remember... RUMORS CAN KILL..... now get your boats ready... 22 max length 300 max hp 60 mph max speed must buy GPS from OPA NO PRIZE MONEY-Gentlemen Racers. back in the early days of true sport and class, Aronow, Bertram et al raced for pride. More to come from Mark and myself. Christian Del Collo 215.510.8007 |

Caught my interest...
You guys should start a new thread as rules become firm. Bought my 30 to race class five but rules changed me to class 4, retirement changed me to class Zero but this could be do-able. |
