Back 20 years ago, I walked 5 miles back and forth to school in 10 foot of snow, uphill both way:stooges:..... I was also around F1 when they had 23 boats line up at the start and F2 had 26....Those days are gone. If the things that USO did and F1 & F2 was so great they would still be around.

Do you think and entry level class would work? Not that you want it too, would it actually work in the climate of offshore today?

Glad you got amped up over footage from way before computer racing started....

Why dont you ask Steve to post the video of racing in 3-4's and having to hold the throttles at half throttle in my boat

10 foot? Was that in Fla?lol

F1-00 Racing 02-10-2013 05:27 PM

B,

My top speed for F1 in 5-6's was ballpark 80. Averages including the corners were approx 65-70 depending on the boat in the rough. F2's were approx 10 mph faster(over/under) than the F1's.

Things failed because of a take over in management and a series of rule changes that obsoleted so many boats.I am only offering opinions on how to possibly improve our sport.I really do think OPA has built a great foundation and people are really excited about our sport again. Its all good!
