We've got a J-Class Hydro the kids run in APBA for 9-15 yr. olds.. That is TUG IT "Baby"... We haven't finalized it, but I think the majority was for "TUG IT Again Baby" for the class 7 boat.. Either way this is gonna be a BAD ASS CLASS!! Can't wait...

Hey everyone, my search for a hull for class 7 continues. Have found a couple of possibilities but they are all fairly far away and difficult to go look at and make a good buying decision. In my hunt I have come up with the following list of potential hulls. Thought I would toss them out for others input...etc. Even with all these makes there seems to be a shortage of used hulls especially up here in New England. I'm determined to be at the first race in May.
Shadow-21,
Apache-22,
Velocity-22,
Rally Sport-21,
Checkmate-21,
Falcon-21,
Hustler-21,
Super Boat-21.
Progression-22
Power Play-?
Allison -?
Nordic 20 and 21
Lo Mocean 20
Defender 21
Carrera 21
Activator 22
Red Line 21

Cant go wrong with any of the 21 Linder designed boats......Challenger and Shadow. The Challenger doesnt have the notch that the Shadow has, which may help in big water. I dont believe a 21 Superboat has the notch either. Whatever you do, Id stick with a 2.5L engine. The Apache is built well, but very heavy and rather slow. I think the Checkmate is more of a pleasure boat, but Mr.Determination is a Check and runs well.
I think thge 21 Super/Shadow/Challenger/Activator/Apache/Hustler etc will run a little better in rough water than the Velocity...much smaller pad.
All of what you posted are solid competitors though.

Well Guys, I am working at it like a dog. Been tearing out rotten transom wood. Ordered up some dash panels to cover old holes, got in some new gauges, and a motor bracket. Trying to find the appropriate engine, made an offer on an old mercury, but haven't heard back yet, Also have found a couple other possibilities around. Hope to get tangled up with some wood and fiberglass in the near future and start going the right direction. Hoping for that Atlantic City date.
