Hello Race Fans,

I know we're in the middle of getting ready for the Point Pleasant Beach
race but there's important news about the Cambridge Maryland race that
racers need to be made aware of.

Many race teams have been asking us how to get rooms at the Hyatt in
Cambridge, for the race weekend, September 25 & 26 2004.
The Chesapeake Bay Power Boat Association, has secured a block of rooms at a
discounted price of $200 for a standard room and $225 for an upgraded room.
The normal room rate is $399 a night and up. The Racers Block is now
available for race teams, friends and family.

To get in on the discounted block of rooms, racers, teams, friends and
family should contact the hotel directly and ask for JonScott McClung.

is 410-901-6316. Tell him you are reserving a room from the RACERS BLOCK.

Also, if your planning to attend the Friday afternoon golf Tournament on
the Hyatt's championship golf course, then you'll need to arrive in time for
a 1pm Tee off. More info will follow after the Point race on how to sign up
for the Golf tournament.

I'd highly recommend calling the hotel ASAP to reserve your rooms. Once the
Racers block is sold out, you'll need to pay the normal rate of $399 a night
or stay at the Holiday Inn just down the road from the Hyatt.

Thats not bad, but for some of us on a budget, the Holiday Inn has rooms at $118.00 per night. If we can get 10 or more rooms for our group they will drop it to $99.00.
I stayed at the Holiday Inn last year and it was pretty nice! They even have an indoor pool & hot tub!
If anyone else is as budget consious as I, please let me know and we can save $$ in numbers!!
