I wonder if OL would be willing to get involved and help correct the hull, in an effort to save the reputation of their big cat. I don't think it would look good if Golddigger ended up being repaired by Skater.
That boat ran great with merc power in it, unfortunately that is not the power that the owner chose to put in it. It ran 160+ with merc 1200's, and that's a fact. The only adjustments made to the bottoms of OL cats were to correct differences in CG on the two turbine boats due to the different rigging required for the turbines, as far as rumors go, they are just that. For the record the boat was never put up for sale, there were other circumstance that led to the boat being available back in the day and present time. |

That video doesn't show the OL passing them in open ocean and then pulling back to a steady 135 mph cruise. But it doesn't matter, we were just out there running the boat and enjoying the poker run. Nothing to prove, or we would have run it with some boost. The boat was and is set up at 1500 each with 7 psi boost, not even close to its potential, but it was the first long distance run on the motors and we thought we would give them a proper break in.

the author of the quoted post was not in the Outerlimits, I can assure you that this isn't mike Fiore, Joe or Patrick, Dustin or Mike the engine builder. But it must be true because somebody posted on the Internet.
