i thought that silver stripe down the middle used to be red!! (on sides) Its very hard to paint the exopy boats and get the paint (primer) to stick ... also inless the int.has been changes its it completely toast from what i seen at fastboats.. get ready to spend some bucks to get it where it needs to be.. not a deal at all in my view.. just my 02ct...

I did not see the blu \silver myself but heard from a reliable source that it has / had many issues , that is the reason for the low sale price .

I know the guy who bought it and a friend of mine saw the boat out at PBB. It was a great deal. Nothing wrong with the boat. He hasnt run it much due to an incident after the sale where he hit a large submerged object.

I guess everyone has thier own opionion . The current owner would be the best judge of why it went so cheap ..on another note ; does anyone know what size of Herrings that the 2005 39 in powrboat mag was spinning to achieve the 96 mph reported and if it worth pursuing to gain the mph ?

Wasnt the boat in powerboat yours? How fast are you running now and with what props? With 525's and the right props you should be at 96-98mph. Some did run a little more in perfect conditions.

i own the silver/blue 39 O.L. w/600's being discussed. I purchased it from PBB last spring, they took my Fountain in on trade.
Danny from O.L. is correct, the boat is clean, cockpit/interior upgrade. Only issue was with a header, needed to be welded due to age. Who does not have issues with headers???
Danny is also correct, i did hit a submerged object that grenaded one of my drives and i lost several weeks. Fortunately, the insurance covered it.
The boat did sell for well under $180k with a trailer. No other issues. Who is this guy who cliams to have inside information from Canada/1000 Island??????

Your blue/silver 39 is a very nice boat. Looked at it several times at PBB. Good buy too.
