So i should expect a much better(stable) ride at 100-110mph in a 39 Quattro then a 38 fountain at same speed? what speed does a 39 quattro w/700s do? is there better years then others? any known issues?

Hey.......that's not true. Have you ever seen a Ferrari tow a big Outerlimits? Doesn't Mike drive a Ford F450? I think some guy in NC sold it to him. Lol. Maybe Kia to Ferrari is a better comparison?

GK is correct there is no comparison it's apples and oranges. The Quattro is really a 40' hull coming in at 39'-11' LOA, 9'2" Beam, equipped with cutting edge epoxy layup w/ carbon fiber top deck at 8500lbs and the paint is one off. The 38' fountain is realistically a 35' w/ out the beak, 8'-6" Beam, glass construction and 8950lbs w/ a-typical paint and lots of identical boats. The Quattro next to a 42' Fountain are very close in length, but the OL cockpit is about 12" deeper making for a much more desirable ride. The lines and performance of the Quattro are unsurpassed, they are light/fast/strong and great in rough or smooth water. Fountains are very nice lots of friends with them, but are not an OL. An educated guess would put a 700 Quattro over 110+mph.

If you are looking for a cabin that you can stand up in and actually use with AC/Heat etc look at the OL. I Happen to have a extremely clean one for sale. Fountain Boats handle well they just dont have the cabin head room and they just are not a OL.

Although I haven't had the pleasure of owning one YET, so I cant say "first hand" but, I have been told that the factory support from OL is unbeatable. Because they are a "custom" builder who builds a limited number of boats per year the connection between the company and the customer is much tighter than you would find with a "production" builder who churns out 100"s of boats a year. The ownership groups are similiar, almost a fraternity (-:
Not dissing Fountain at all, they make a gorgeous boat that's flat out hauls and they have been wining races, setting records and building boats for a LONG time, but, there still aren't an Outerlimits, and honestly, NOTHING else is either.
Good Luck!
