You will have to bring that sweet heart to Chattanooga in October for the North American Offshore Championship races. It is the first time Chattanooga has ever had an offshore race here. You are more than welcome to use our dock for the weekend if you need to. We are located about ten minutes from where the race is going to be. A buddy of mine also has a 79 sport, you two would have to run around together. Sweet boat man.

you have done a great job on the 24 sport. i have a 78, 24ft sport and its my first powerboat. hoping to pull the engine this winter and add a little more horsepower plus a new paint job. we'll see what happens. hope it turns out as nice as yours has.

Magnum 27 do you live in Chattanooga? I have been planning on coming down to the races ever since I heard about them. I'm glad to see them there this year. Where are they going to be at ( I figured that they would be at ross's landing, or somewhere near downtown.) I appriciate the offer to come down and join you guys. What kind of boats will you guys be bringing? I will probably tow down instead of fooling with locking through the dam. My father will probably bring his 87
272 formula at least one day. Are you running a 27 Magnum?
We really like those boats I remember as a kid my dad talking about those he always wanted one. I love the classic offshore style boats. Thats what turned me on to the pantera's. I will get with you closer to race time.

littledcsrodshop -- not sure what it runs just yet -- i only have 2 hours on the motor.
should know more this weekend. My last motor was about 490'ish and i was turning a labbed 24p mirage at 4900 and seeing about 74 on the speedo(not gps). I might need to drop down to a 23 to get all 5600 out of the Mesa motor. I'm guessing a true mid 70's at that point.
It not a handfull at all - drives real straight and true - as long as I don't get the drive to far out of the water!! lol

Littled, yes I live in Chattanooga and no they will not be in front of Ross's Landing. They are going to be on the lake in front of the Damn at Chickamoga marina and Big Ridge Marina. I have built a "New" Magnum Starfire and am finishing up the rigging right now, we will actually be racing in it. The only hometown team. We are P5-21 the Pirate Racing Team, come on down and cheer us on. I should have some updated pics of the boat tomorrow on OSO so be sure to look for them. You and your dad are more than welcome to use my do anytime you are up this way, we live over across from Chesterfrost park, just look for the Pirate flag!!
