Hey Tom ,
I'm glad to see you are giving the boat the TLC it needs .
It going to be sweet .
I really like that motor - When are you going to sell it back to me ?

I'm hoping to get some input on a few configurations for gauge placement. I'm trying to work with the monster racing
series.
The tach and speedo are just shy of 6" (5"11/16) with bezels added. The others are approx 3"3/4.
According to my estimate I have about 8" of vertical room on the dash.
I want to plan for six accessory gauges.
I will be removing the alum. square plate from behind the steering hub. And the wheel will be replaced with a dino three spoke.

Basicly I need pros and cons on the pics. The helm/dash is being glassed in and re-gelled, so I will drill new holes.
I want to think of all my options before hand.

As the saying goes measure twice drill once

Pic on left is #1 pic on right is #2

I vote for #1. I like the tach and speedo next to each othere and the layout is symmetrical.

I go w/ #1. Install the main 6 gauges.
Then figure where you want the last 2.
I still say to get water pressure in that thing.

I too would go with no.1 I'm just not real crazy about the two under the steering wheel. Will you be able to see them there?
