Did you lay out the guages to clear the wheel at all driver angles? Or was it to accomidate the larger size? I have not seen a Pantera dash laid out that way. nice work!! That looks great!! Chris

Hey Chris, I have some nic nacs for you.
Yes, to both your questions. I wanted to add a different feeling to the helm so I diverted from the straight lines. It took several lay outs before I setteled on this. We discussed some options earlier in the post. I knew I wanted the tach and speedo side by side and I wanted the other small gauges to have a little flow to it. the rest was dictated by the space restrictions on the dash.
I couldn't get stainless angle cut bezzels (Alum only). I decided to powder coat the alum angle bezzels white and then put the stainless on top of that. We'll see what it looks like when I get the gauges back.
Thanks Mike, I still need to install tack and speedo, interior, and adjust drive shifter, make new steering lines and that's about it. I hope to fire it up this next weekend and check for leaks. I made alot of new lines (fuel, water and oil ) so I'll keep my fingers crossed.
Tom

dfealy That dash layout looks great. Is your interior installed yet?
I finished building new steering lines last nite.
Tomorrow I'm starting it and checking for leaks and such.
If everything checks good I will splash next week some time

Ya gotta love a guy who takes your old girl and turns her into a first class hottie!
Tom, I love what you did to it .
Unbelievable !
Now its time to go kick some ass with it .
When are you getting it wet ?
You might want to let Albert turn that 540 into a 600CI for next season . I am sure he will take good care of you .

Hey Jerry,
I fired it up on monday and had two oil leaks. I had two AN-fitting leak at the swivel. I had two new ones sent next day and put them on tonight. I will fire it again on wed after noon. I should have the new tach and speedo by Thurs. If everything checks out on the hose tomorrow she'll be wet on fri night or sat morning. I will post some pics.
