I think you'd need to call Jo and see if the back bench or bulkhead had ever been moved from when the TRS boats were made.
If not, then it should work.

The Konrad Ace has a small extension box which houses part of the transmission. I just received the cut sheet and it's a 13 degree angle box. Jo informed me that the transom on the 28 is an 11 degree.

I am working on a solution with Konrad and or Jo if I go to a new boat.

Have Chief or MB build you an engine.
It seems you could use a 1yr warranty.

Hey, I'm all for the weekend warriors... building their own motors.
But when it comes time and you lose 1/2 your season out on the water... is it worth it?

I didn't build this engine. We only found a few limiting issues this year and fixed them - ECU programmed wrong, cam a bit too small and blower belt slipping at high RPM.

It was built 4 seasons and 150 hours ago. Until I drop the pan I don't know what really happened. Shouldn't be a big issue, tear it down, go through it thoroughly and reassemble with new bearings, rings and valve job.

Then decide weather to sell it seperately or turn key with the boat.

Like I said, Decisions Decisions!!

I think you could get to your speed goal by changing out the long block for a 540 and using the procharger on that with some new CMI's and remap. Then go with the Konrad conversion and never have to worry.

That way it would also be a really nice showcase for your new product offering as most of us would be installing Konrads on exsisting hulls and not new builds. Chris

I'm taking orders for them, they aren't cheap, but they have never had a failure!!!

Read this months Powerboat. They warranty up to 800 HP, but trust the drive up to 1000 HP.

They have two boats with 1200 HP running them and the guys change their fluid at 250 hours!!!
