I´m going to try to finnish up the steering system this weekend and connect all the hoses and mount the hatch. It should be ready to go next week
I´ll have to cut out the hatch to fit the flame arrestor

Nice to see you are moving along with your engine rebuild. And it's looking great as well.

I've been spying enviously through the fence on that mean looking cat every time I've passed the "sawway"

Thanks Nav!

Yes I'm getting closer and closer every day. Right now I only need to machine the starter to fit with the oil pan and to get a 50 teeth blower pulley. I was going to switch place of the old ones but for some reason the belt is too short to do that... That would probably make way too much boost so this will be the better solution but now I can't even start it up since I have no belt...

watch your mouth, you ol' trashrocker! :P
Just kidding, there is a whole lotta truth in what you are sayin' unfortunately. This damn new job has been keeping me pretty busy last 6 months or so. Though I managed to do one thing right at least - choosing a partner to get a race boat with

Speaking about these small "onlys" that are left to be done... Some how these small f-ckers have been setting us back pretty badly, both timewise and dinerowise. Hopefully well be able to dyno the monster within a week.

Yours truly, the one and only hobby-gynecologist,

Will fire it up today.

The new gauges are mounted in the dash (oil temp, boost and EGT) and all wires are prepared to be connected to the senders on the motor. And the bolsters are in!

The new distributor didn't fit either... Had to machine the end cap of the intercooler to make it fit, but now everything is ready to rock'n roll!

There will be some long nights to get it done 'til saturday morning, but it WILL be ready by then!

The nut that held the dipstick in place came loose and in 5secs we had 6-7 gallons of oil in the bilge. Shut down the engine emidiatly when we saw the oil pressure falling as a sunset in Africa.

As that wasnt enough the engine is stuck and we just hope that we just have to change the bearings and grind/balance the crankshaft. Tobbe will torn down the engine tonight, and we hope that we will have it all together and running in a couple of weeks, that is if our friend Mr Murphy isnt present. So Norrtälje is not an option for us this weekend, directly after this "incident" I called my boss and told him "I may be available for work this weekend" So if you know of any 540cu talldeck 10,2, shortblock please let us know. I hope u guys will come up to Öregrund after the Rolslagsloppet! We will be there!
