The charcoal was a new thing to me! I use kalciumchloride to absorb the moisture. Works wonders in the engine compartment, no condensation what so ever!

Wow I never heard of the charcaol thing either. Sounds like a good idea though I'm game. I have to pull the batteries out didn't do it yet so I could winterize the motor, but putting them on tenders is a great idea. You don't how much money I've waisted on batteries not taking care of them!
Do you use the charcoal in the engine compartment as well?
JO you can take it out anytime, but I must warn you 154 hp at the wheels on a 30 year old bike has a little bit of the butt puckering effect. I'm sure you'll be fine I've seen how you drive boats
