Here is my .02 cents on this boat. Every boat has a price, however, when I want something that satifies my taste, I can careless whats the problem with the motor. I for one know that you can buy a boat that is running 90 today, take it home and blow a piston the next day. Give this boat a break it has been in many sea trials to show of a potential buyer the speeds and handling too many times. For example, I got a call from Jo five years ago, Albert the three man bolster race boat is for sale, I said really here is 3K for a deposit and tell the seller that its mine. Well, I didnt care or asked anything about it, I wanted the boat. It took me a week to get the boat because the sellers bank could not find the title. When the boat became mine without even seing it before buying it, I didnt even want the seller to go out with us because he sold it due to being scared of the boat, imagine if he would have gone out with Jo and myself. The weekend came along I met Jo a the docks, took her out in 3/4`s at 82 with a broken rings causing major blow by. I didnt care because this was the boat I wanted all long and didnt care if it was running or not. If I didnt have my boat today this thread would have never taken place because this boat would have been sitting in my garage two years ago. With that being said, the right buyer for this boat has not seen it yet......

I second that... I don't think there is a damn thing wrong with boat... never did. Scott Shogren seems like a straight shooter, at least the couple of times I talked to him.
I check OSO about everyday, thinking to here the bad news (for me) that someone bought this boat
There's not that many Pantera's in the midwest so locating one like this 10-12hrs away is a blessing ...or omen.

Albert nailed it on the head.
When i saw my boat I KNEW it was the one i wanted.
Had the owner on the phone, knowing there were a few others really interested.
I wasn't letting him off the phone till he accepted an offer.
IMO, if you buy a used boat, expect it wil need engine work.
and yes... i'm a friend of Murphy('s law).

Amen Bro! I couldn't agree more. Ask Griff!
And as I said before, if Scott wanted to trade for an A-Sedan Camaro, this thing would have been in HB a couple months ago!
Seems like there's a lot more foam than there is beer when it comes to buyers on stuff like this.

YOU SAID THAT?!?!?!?!
and before 7am PST too!
Buy a boat you love. If you have any doubts pass.
If you don't LOVE it when you buy it, you sure won't love it when it gives you problems... which all boat do.

Rob! That made me spit out my coffee! You know it's true!
I have some experince with tire kicking. I've had the race car for sale on and off for a couple of years. And since I mention it from time to time, I thought I'd take a minute to do a mini-hijack of this discussing and show some photos! (I'm wearing arm restraints in the first photo, so no I didn't forget to put up my window net and the second photos shows the engine before I replaced the koni's with remote resivoir Penskes).

Can't resist posting this one. It's one of my favorites. That's my buddy in his Ferrari 360 Challenge car. He's not passing me. If he isn't past by that point (turn 4 at Willow springs) he's SOL because the Camaro eats up the Ferrari on the straights. Something about being really light (2,740#) and having plenty of HP... The video of that race from Johnny's (Ferrari) in car camera is awesome!
I'm also running "cheater" rubber on the car in these shots. They're the Hoosier DOT race rubber. I usually run the Hoosier TD vintage race tires, but we were monkeying around with set up and trying some things. Overall, it didn't change lap times much, but really changed the "feel" on the car.

(cause I know you love the new smileys)
