Looks good Sean.
The headers are one piece now? |
Unitops are one piece. Its like getting the tails for free...
They cost about the same as most decent manifolds plus the risers. I too have been told that the SM make more power, and I beleive the source, but they are soooo damn ugly!!! If anyone is interested in any CMI products. I will personally handle the transaction and give you the absolute best price out there!! Kirk |
Yup all the way out! whooma!
I also put up a couple of other videos on youtube for you guys. Nothing to specatular, but better than working! :D |
Looks great. Can't wait to hear when it breaks 80.
So where is the water from the exhaust dumping???? In a pipe within the tail??? The part that you had extended just doesn't look thick enough to have water between the walls??? |
It's a pipe inside that's the same diameter as the internal exaust pipe, then the water runs in that jacket, that's about a 1/4" larger (ID to OD) than the inner pipe. The water comes out the bottom, except for a little that squirts out the top onto the flapper to keep the flapper from frying. It's pretty trick and looks similar to the Imco setup.

Have any of you guys tried a 5 blade prop or a hydromotive just to compare?
I ran three different props last Sunday, conditions were great, 1 1/2' to 2' chop, 60 degree dry air. 70 gallons of gas, full cooler, I'm 220 lbs and my passenger 240 lbs. 26 5 blade 80 mph at 5700-5750 rpms stock 26 4 blade 81 mph at 6050-6100 rpms labbed somewhere in Florida 26 4 blade 83 mph at 5800-5850 rpms labbed by Brett at Bblades My engine liked this cool air, usally I am 2 to 3 mph slower in the summer with humidity. I am borrowing a labbed 28 4 blade from another 28 owner to see what I can do with that. |
83 MPH is real good speed with a true 650 HP. On the Richie's 28' I ran a stock 28' 4 blade Bravo 1 at 5300 - 5350 RPM and was right at 84 MPH on GPS with 2 people and 50 gallons of fuel.It was hotter temps and very windy conditions.I think Mike Cumming's new 28' ran 87 MPH up in Mayland with a labbed 28' at 5700 RPM but his motor is a little stronger.
If you can turn some RPM ( 5500 - 5600 ) with the 28' labbed in the right conditions you might see 85 MPH. Regards, JO |
What RPM's did your motor peak at on the dyno? Anything consistantly in the 80's without a blower is really good.
|
My peak was 5,700.

Engine bay looks great Dude, That will haul with some dial in. I am trying to get some Ideas on target RPM's for my new power that I am building. Your drive must be pretty stout to take that kind of torque loading with a 32 wow.
