Don't give her any ideas there Tom.
She's been doing good finding things. I spend my time goofing off, and she spends her time shopping boat stuff - see why I love my wife so much.
My work will come when it comes time to put all this together - see ya on the water in 2009...

Yeah, I'm really glad she's so into it. My ex-wife would have been "You're spent how much??? On that???" - and that was after I deflated the price by a couple hundred.
JJ is finding some good deals, and she knows what I want - she wants the same thing

Alright guys
It's almost been a month since I added anything to this.
Just to let you know that this project isn't going dormant I'll update a little.
Last weekend I went to the local Jo-Ann fabric store, and they had white marine vinyl - pulled out the pocketknife, and cut off a piece to make sure it was going to match the seats.
Match is pretty damn good!!
I left the swatch sitting on one of the seats.
It got both me and the wife at least once this week.
Walking past it, and thought one of the dog's tore a hole in the brand new seats.
Half my boat is in my basement right now.

Yesterday I made my rounds.
I made a trip back to Jo-Ann's and bought the entire roll of vinyl. I plan on screwing up a few times. Also bought some new foam for the rear seat.
Next stop was Home Depot for some plywood to replace the original.
Started working on rebuilding the rear seat and sunpad today.
Layed some glass over the edge of the top of the seat, and started coating the wood with resin - I figure it will help seal it, and what the hell, the stuff smells good

I'm gonna hold off on doing anything with the side combing panels until I get the seats mounted, but I already yanked the old stuff.
I thought this was kinda cool - from the original upholstery shop.
I guess the closest you'll come to finding a "build sheet".

Funny too - When you walk into Jo-Ann fabrics wearing a sweatshirt and weekend jeans ( yeah, holes in the wear spots) and a Merc hat backwards, and try to buy a few hundred dollars worth of vinyl and foam, the old lady at the counter takes note of you, and calls a manager over to verify the Credit card.
Every one else in line was spending less than $10.
And I was the only one that had a shopping cart.
Kinda funny too, I noticed they didn't even have a ramp from the sidewalk to the road for carts - had to kick it over the curb.
I guess they don't expect you to need a cart.
