Has anyone rigged a single engine 700SCi/NXT1 V-bottom?
A step-bottom will net about 10-15% speed over a traditional V-bottom depending on a LOT of things. If a current 525EFI no-step 28 Pantera will run 75 mph, figure the high end of a 15% speed increase might net you +11.25 mph. That puts you at 85+ mph. IMHO, that's plenty fast in a 28' Single engine boat. If with the right dial-in, props, X-dimension, and tweaks, the boat tags 90 mph; that's plenty fast. Accordingly, the 700SCi/NXT1 may not be warranted. Good luck Joe, Pepe, and Scott. I eagerly anticipate the results. |

I agree on the 700, that would be a bad-azz package in a 28, especially the new hull!
As far as color I really like the "Platinum" color with red trim to accent the 700 package! :D |
Considering what a new "builder" 700hp motor costs and what a complete Imco or similar set up goes for, that 700/NXT seems pretty reasonable.
