Man I wish I could find a reasonable whipple 3.3 carb setup, I think it would fit with no hatch mods at all. Is anyone have a single with a whipple setup? Anyways, I have 16.75" from the top of the std. deck block to the bottom of the hatch at the rear of the block and that is with the X at 18 and the engine 7" foreward due to the tranny. I calculated the clearance to be the same if I had a Bravo style drive at 17. Either way I could not fit a tunnel ram with 3" arrestors 18.5"h without some hatch mods.

Tom, your boats not notched right? Stubb and the Mig are. I'd forgotten that you'd already got your blower!
Looks like I'm going big HP natural for now, just to be difficult/different. :D |
I've got the standard bottom.

Probably stick through about 4-5" at the front and 6-7" at the back then. |

I've been wondering the same thing! I was thinking about putting a blower on my motor this winter and would love to keep the stock hatch looks a little more stealth. Since it looks like we don't have enough clearance maybe a procharger will be my ticket. I know they certainly don't look as good, but it still should make decent power.
If I did do this I think a different drive will have to go on the boat. More money more money more money! |
