We have huge noise issues on our inland lakes and though it would look great, I think he's right, the noise factor wouldn't be worth it for us.
I guess the customer always has the option.
Is that boat running yet? Sea trial?? I might have to hop on a plane when its ready!

If it was being built for me they would dump out the hull sides because I do not mine the noise and we do not have any real big noise issues here in Miami.Plus I like the way they look !!
That is why we are a custom boat builder and build the boats to our customer's exact specifications. I understand the noise problem in certain areas of the country.
There are many current race boats dumping their headers out the hull sides. Here is a picture from 1977 with my Father's 24' with the headers dumping out the sides. Look above the rubrail near the rear bulkhead.

I agree that dumping the exhaust out the sides is very cool, But it would restict me from going to a few harbors off the coast of Cape Cod, the Nantucket boat basin and Oak Bluffs on Marthas Vinyard both have noise restictions....
